X500 Crystal Probe
Electron Backscattered Diffraction (EBSD) has become an important tool
in the study of polycrystalline materials. However, the application
of EBSD has never reached it's full potential, because of limitations in
conventional SEM design.
The X500 Crystal Microprobe is anything but conventional. The electron
optical column, specimen chamber, and stage have been optimized for EBSD
applications. The 70-degree column tilt allows all specimens to be
analyzed with no sample tilt, opening up a wide array of possibilities for
analysis and experimentation.
